Xlayer Technologies took on the challenge of developing an advanced Transit Management System for Agartala Smart City, focusing on AVLS (Automatic Vehicle Location System), PIS (Passenger Information System), and ITS (Intelligent Transport System).

Agartala Smart City faced the challenge of modernizing its urban transportation system to meet the growing demands of its citizens and improve the efficiency of its public services. The city required a comprehensive Transit Management System that could seamlessly integrate various modes of transportation and utility vehicles. To develop a Transit Management System (AVLS, PIS, and ITS) for Agartala Smart City.
We built a GPS-based system to track garbage collection vehicles, ambulances, police vehicles, and other utility vehicles. For public buses, an Intelligent Transport System was developed to help citizens access ETA through bus shelter displays (PIS) and a mobile app. It included a route/trip planning and monitoring tool for the transport department. The solution dashboard was integrated with Smart City’s Command and Control Center.
The authority has access to the real-time status of utility vehicles, can efficiently manage fuel usage, and improve asset utilization. Citizens can now better plan their trips. They see the ETAs on bus shelter displays and also on their mobile apps.
